Some recent updates.. April 2013
Recently I met my dental sponsor, Dr Meola. This man is absolutely hilarious and he has the most beautiful office I’ve ever seen.. And of course I’m a dental hygienist so I was very excited for this appointment! We have begun the whitening process for miss USA!
Speaking Of miss USA.. They’ve announced the date!!!!!! June 16 at 9pm on NBC will be the live telecast… I can not wait! I am so blessed to have this opportunity!!
Also recently, I attended and spoke at an event for Newtown Connecticut called 26 angels. This was a great opportunity to get in touch with local officials and professionals to discuss the issues surrounding gun violence and mental health.
Now for some Miss USA prep.. A lot goes into this!!! Pictured above is Maddy, Neil and I at the Miss MA USA headquarters taking walking lessons from the lovely Staci Blaine!! She’s amazing! She really knows her stuff and I feel SO ready to conquer that stage now!
Last but certainly not least, Katie Boyd’s Miss FIt Club. I can not say enough about Katie, she is so wonderful. I credit her for so much of my state win Because she worked wonders for my body. We have begun the workout and eating regimen for Miss USA and I am so beyond lucky to have her helping me. No one knows a women’s body like Katie and I am in the best hands
Until next time!

My classmates are too funny. They were teaching about paradigms which are forms of models and this is the slide they put up. And for jeopardy they have everyone candy.. Except for me, I got a cucumber! #missusa #love
This month has been FULL of fun! I am so blessed to be living my dream! First stop was a walk for breast cancer in Lowell. I had a blast meeting some of the people who are behind the scenes and partying it up with the clown! I even got my caricature drawn!!! I then got to have dinner with some of my pageant family and figure out some important details for miss USA! We made final decisions on my miss USA gown and headshot! Woohoo for progress! Later in the week I got to do an appearance with my jeweler, richard of elyse jewelers. He is such a great sponsor and I love working with him! Another great appearance I had was at a revere preschool reading “the hungry catepillar” to my cousins classroom. The children were so sweet and well behaved! Next stop was to Neil to learn how to style my hair. He is a magician. Enough said! Haha. Finally, I attended the home and business expo at a Massachusetts high school where I got to take pictures with hundreds of people and sign autographs.. I still think its weird that people actually want my autograph! Haha.. So as you can see, I’m a busy girl! This is such a dream come true and I am loving every second of it!
Mid march I got to attend a wonderful fashion show that raised money for finding the cause of breast cancer. It was so inspirational to meet some of the survivors and I had so much fun with some of the local celebrities!!! The event was super successful and thousands of dollars were raised! And not for nothing… But I did get to wear a Gucci dress and carry a Alexander mccqueen bag.. Hello!
Earlier this month I had the opportunity to attend the stand out retreat run by Chelsea Cooley! It was so much fun to meet some of the girls and do activities that I’ve never done.. Like ride a horse! Never realized how much of a city girl I am until the horse in front of mine kicked mine in the face!! Terrifying! Haha needless to say it was an amazing experience but I do love my Boston!
Some new updates! Sorry for the delay in posts! Pictures seen here are from a Katie Boyd event at neiman Marcus for Chanel! So much fun! Next stop was to the state house to lobby for dental hygiene laws which was really humbling to partake in.. It’s amazing how many people are fighting for rights in my profession and how many politicians truly cared to listen and try to help us achieve our goals.. I love my job!

This past week I was lucky enough to go on a trip I’ve always dreamed of. I started my journey at the Miss Universe office to film my web interview.. I have seen pictures of this office for years and always wondered what it was like from the inside.. It was such an amazing feeling to walk through the elevator and out into the office!! Before I even got into the elevator I was stopped by two men who wanted to know where I got my boots from.. Come to find out they must have been shoe designers because it appeared the entire building was filled with show rooms of shoes.. Heaven? I think so. Still trying to figure out who those men were though, I was so excited to be there that I forgot to ask their names! haha oops :/
Next stop was to Sherri Hill. I got to try on tons of gowns from her new collection which has not yet been released, which was AMAZING! She has some truly beautiful and intricate designs! I have always wanted to meet Sherri and dreamed of modeling for her.. Now that I’ve met her, it looks as if that dreams will come true! ;]
Finally, I finished off my day shooting with Fadil Berisha. I have been modeling since I was 14 years old and have been following his work for about five years now. I was so excited to shoot with him and I am so thankful to have had the opportunity. I even got to have my makeup done by one of the best makeup artists in the world who has done makeup for people like Brittany spears, Madonna, Janet Jackson and more. I can not wait to see the photos!! I am sure they will be just as wonderful as the experience was!
Thank you to my Aunt Kristine for going on this trip with me and taking care of me! I love you!!
To those of you wondering if I got my gown.. you’ll just have to wait until you see it on national TV this summer ;]
I am so blessed to have had these opportunities!! I will never forget that day! Thank you to the Clementes for scheduling all of this and making it possible - and especially to the Crowning Touch for helping me along my journey of finding my dream gown!!!!

On friday night I attended a fundraiser to benefit ALS with Madyson, Richard Barbarian (from Elyse Jewelers), and our directors and staff. We had such a fun time talking to everyone and helping to raise tons of money. We ended the evening with stand up comedy from about 12 amazing comedians. They were hilarious and had me in tears! It was such a fun event and it was so nice to see some of my Miss Mass USA family!! To top it all off, Maddy and I were lucky enough to wear stunning jewelry all night from our jewelry sponsor, Elyse Jewelers! Thanks for making us sparkle Richard!
About a week ago Madyson and I met up with the amazing Derek Zegami to film a segment for Nati’s boutique in Clinton MA. I was so excited to find out about this little boutique because it is only about a 15 minute drive for me and the clothes are AMAZINGGGGGGG! Natalia Fernandez (the owner) dressed us up in adorable clothes all night and Derek interviewed us. Afterwards she lets us pick out one of the dresses to take home and of course Maddy and I picked out the same dress.. because we’re twinsies! I have a feeling we’re going to end up with a similar Miss USA dress too, haha we love the same things!! Anyways the clothes were super cute and I am so excited to go back and find some more gems! If you’re in the area definitely check her out, you won’t be disappointed! Natalia has even dressed Miss Universe Olivia Culpo and Ayla Brown.
Hey Everyone! This blog is coming a little late.. but back in the beginning of January I was so lucky to be able to attend the Muscle Team Gala Muscular Dystrophy Association event. This was seriously one of the most amazing events EVER! Not only did I get to meet a ton of amazing local sports celebrities (HELLO! Matt Light, Ray Borque, Robert Parish, Brian Leetch, Lyndon Byers, Steve Deossie to name a few) but I was introduced to my MDA buddy Emma. Emma and I had a blast walking around talking to everyone all night and taking pictures. She introduced me to her “stylish pose” (see above picture) and we forced people to do it all night, mainly masculine men ;]. The event was a huge success and we were able to help raise thousands and thousands of dollars to send many MDA children to a special camp where they can be a normal kid for a week and meet friends that are just like them. It was truly a heart warming experience and I can’t wait to hang out with Emma some more throughout this year!
